Tough competition and a record-breaking number of visitors led to a successful event for green-fingered Peak District residents.
More than 1,700 people made their way to Froggatt Horticultural Show on Saturday to find out who produced this year's best bumper crop.

And tensions ran high when Geoff Booker took the Moorlands Trophy for the highest score in the show by just one point.

Dawn Lawrence won the John Morton Trophy for being the highest -scoring Froggatt resident.

Show secretary Kathy Fox said: "It went really well and had record breaking attendance with at least 300 extra people at the gate on the day."
