On Thursday, July 14, it was a lovely sunny day and I decided to have a refreshment at Peacocks coffee shop. As I waited for my drink I sat in their beautiful courtyard and John, a waiter, got me a cushion to put upon my chair.
As I stood up my dress got caught in the chair which created a small tear. John was extremely apologetic and went straight to his manageress, who promptly came to my side. She enquired how much the dress had cost me and I said around about £20. Within minutes she returned with £20 and her sincere apologies.
It absolutely made my day as I’d accepted it was just an accident and had not complained, so I think this deserves a HUGE thank you and praise, as everyone these days find a lot to complain about and its lovely to have been treat in this manor, which we don’t seem to be accustom to.
