I NOTE with interest the Derbyshire Times’ decision to publish Reports from the Courts.
It has been quite an eye-opener.
It seems that a large part of the magistrate’s workload is produced by young male motorists.
So if the Derbyshire Times can do it with the courts, how about the councils?
It is not going to set the world on fire, but how about producing a summary, every week, of what our elected representatives decide on our behalf?
Editor’s note: As with court reporting we see it part of a newspaper’s duty to publish the decisions made by elected representatives. A weekly summary is an interesting idea and something we will be exploring further. Thankyou.
