Way back in 1959 as a 7 year old Cub Scout, I swore the oath, “I promise to do my best, to do my duty to God and the Queen and to keep the law of the Wolf Cub pack and to do a good deed every day.”
Well now over fifty years on, I’m horrified to learn that the politically correct want the word ‘God’ removed from the Scouts & Guides Promise.
What next? I’ll tell you what, lets demolish the Crooked Spire and all the magnificent churches and cathedrals around the country, after all, they are symbols of God, Christianity and faith in a life after death.
Let’s also abolish our Christmas too, after all it’s the Son of God’s birth that we are all celebrating.

I know who I’m putting my faith in.
