LETTER: Seeking photos of Winding Wheel

Does anyone have any historic photographs of the Winding Wheel?

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the birth of the Winding Wheel and to celebrate we are creating a specially commissioned exhibition called The History & Development of the Winding Wheel.
The exhibition will take place at the Winding Wheel and it will be open to the general public from Monday, May 15 to Sunday, May 21. Entry is free.

Our exhibition is nearly complete, but we need more historic photographs to display at the exhibition.
As well as historic images of the Winding Wheel, we are specifically interested in photographs of the interior of the building when it was a cinema - The Picture House or the Odeon. We don’t currently hold any images of the café which was in the function room or the restaurant which was in the ballroom, and we don’t have many historic images of people on a night out at the venue.

If you have any photographs, please email them to [email protected], share them on our facebook page www.facebook.com/chesterfieldtheatres.co.uk or bring them into the Chesterfield Visitor Information Centre, Rykneld Square, Chesterfield, S40 1SB.
We would be able to scan any hard copy of photographs whilst you wait and return them straight to you.
