At a recent branch meeting of the Royal British Legion, concern was expressed over the re-arranged Chesterfield Football Club home fixture with Sheffield United, not that the match had to be played, but the fact that this ‘crowd sensitive’ event had been moved to Sunday, November 13, at 2.15pm.
Do the organisers not realise that not only is this Remembrance Sunday but the timing coincides with the borough and other districts’ church services and parades?
I sincerely hope this was taken into account when the decision was made.
