LETTER: Can you help with book?
My name is Johnnie Manckiy, I am writing a book about Calke Abbey during World War Two. I am trying to find anyone with memories of Calke Abbey during the 1930s and 40s or of its owner Hilda Mosley.
I am also trying to find the family of Arthur Gilbert, who worked for the Repton Rural District Council during the war. I need to ask his family about copyright permission to use information from a collection of letters he wrote as billeting officer for the council to the owner of Calke during the war.
