LETTER: Appeal for details of ex-Liverpool players

editorial image

I live in south Derbyshire and I am trying to find out more information on two former Liverpool footballers who hail from north Derbyshire.
Sam Raybould (Staveley) and Sam Hardy (Chesterfield) both played for Liverpool in the early 20th century and both secured a First Division championship medal in 1906.

I wondered if any of your readers have any information on them, particularly former homes and where they are buried?

Please see below for a little further information on the pair.

Samuel Francis Raybould (striker), Staveley, died in Chesterfield in 1949.

Sam Hardy (goalkeeper) died in Chesterfield October 24, 1966. Any information would be gratefully received - kieran.smith9@hotmail.co.uk
