In praise of the care I received at Royal

I’m writing to express my gratitude and sincere appreciation to all the staff at the Royal Hospital.

I was admitted on Saturday, December 3, via ambulance after collapsing at home. Upon arriving at hospital I was unaware of my surroundings. However, my wife has told me just how good the level of treatment and care was afforded to me.

I was transferred to the EMU ward some hours later and then on to Manver’s Ward, where I remained until returning home on December 6.

I feel that in this day and age where people are quick to complain about the standards of care received, that it is only fair that praise is paid when due.

I have been admitted to the Royal 12 times in the past ten years and can honestly say that I have never had any complaints in all that time.

As such, I would just like to commend the nurses, doctors, tea lady and the entire staff who took care of me with such a high standard of care, even down to the excellent food being served.

I hope that their good work and care doesn’t go unnoticed or unrewarded.
