the story ‘Look at her now!’, (Derbyshire Times, August 4), I was born in March 1947, weighing 2lb 8oz.
There was no special baby care in those days and my mum did not even know she was pregnant with me, her fourth child, until just before I was born.
I slept in a little wooden drawer beside the open range.
I was fed with an old fashioned fountain pen filler because bottle teats were to big for my mouth, and when I cried I could hardly be heard.
Fortunately, I also have not had any related health problems, and I am now a 64-yr-old Nana with two grown up daughters and two grandchildren, which I race around with regularly.
