REGARDING the letter ‘Go back to code’, Derbyshire Times, February 3.
After pulling motorists to pieces may I ask if the letter writer has any insurance to be riding on the road?
Unfortunately bike riders are exempt from paying insurance, so the scratch on my passenger door has to be paid for by me.
It was caused by a cyclist coming down the inside of two lanes of traffic at the mini-roundabout at the top of St Johns Road.
Overtaking on the inside is against the law and so is making three lanes on a two-lane carriageway.
May I suggest that some of the cyclists also go back and learn the Highway Code.
Maybe it is about time that the cycling proficiency test was brought back and for some the ‘Tufty Club’ for those old enough to remember.
