Town councillors need volunteers to help them shape the future of the community.
Darley Dale Town Council will shortly begin consultation on its Neighbourhood Plan, which sets out how local people wish to see their town develop.
Cllr Ian Walker pointed out that with the new housing proposed as part of Derbyshire Dales District Council’s Local Plan, the Neighbourhood Plan would need to take into consideration the effects on things such as schools, GPs and traffic.
Anyone interested in taking part is asked to contact the town council’s clerk on 01629 735248. The council will discuss the proposal for a neighbourhood plan at its next meeting on December 20, which takes place in the Whitworth Centre, in Station Road, Darley Dale, at 7pm.
