The tragic holidaymaker who died in a beach landslide in Dorset yesterday worked as a volunteer for a Derbyshire autism group.
Charlotte Blackman, 22, of Heanor, died after a 160ft-high cliff collapsed – burying her under 400 tonnes of rock – at the seaside resort of Burton Bradstock, Dorset.
Charlotte, who volunteered at the Ripley-based Derbyshire Autism Services Group for three years, was strolling the beach with her boyfriend and dad when the massive landslide happened.
Her body was found after a frantic nine-hour search last night. The two men are recovering in hospital.
On Facebook her uncle Douglas Blackman said: “I’m very, very sad, we lost Charlotte yesterday. We will always remember her.
“My thoughts are with my brother and his family in their darkest hour.”
