Whaley Bridge youth club to shut early
The youth club at Footsteps, on Market Street, in Whaley Bridge, will now close at the earlier time of 9.30pm on Fridays, after complaints of anti-social behaviour from police.
This will allow members from surrounding areas time to catch trains and buses home. The Tuesday evening session will continue as normal.
Nye Rowlands, of Whaley Bridge Community Trust, plans to open the club on other nights of the week for early evening sessions, possibly combined with a homework club, once council funding has been secured.
