A SLIMMING group have put their weight behind a campaign to raise money for charity whilst getting trim.

Run by consultant, Lynne Riley, the Eckington Slimming World group took part in ‘Let’s Beat Obesity Together’ and raised £1000 for the Wake Up Ellie fund, which aims to raise almost £10,000 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Lynne, said: “It is great just knowing that every pound we were losing meant more money for our chosen charity. Members from both the 5pm & 7pm decided to take part and we lost between 7lb and 14lb each, which all were delighted with because we had bank holidays and even the Royal Wedding to put our efforts to the test.
