WATCH: Crash scene after man injured by car in Chesterfield

Police are still waiting to hear on the condition of a man who was injured after being hit by a car on Sheffield Road.

Officers said the road was re-opened at around 3.10pm today after the incident involving one car and a pedestrian caused serious traffic disruption.
Police and air ambulance were in attendance after a road traffic collision on the busy road, near Peveril islandin Chesterfield.
Derbyshire police said: “An officer on patrol came across the crash at 1.05pm this afternoon.
“The incident near the Peveril island involved one Audi TT.
“A pedestrian, believed to be elderly, suffered a head injury and was taken by Air ambulance to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.”

Officers have now added: “We are waiting to hear on the condition of the pedestrian who was injured.
