Counting is to begin in the election to determine Derbyshire’s first-ever Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC).
Votes from Thursday’s election will be counted in Alfreton from noon today and the final result will be declared later.
There are four candidates – Labour’s Alan Charles, the Conservatives Simon Spencer, UKIP’s David Gale and independent Rod Hutton.
The successful candidate will take over responsibility for overseeing Derbyshire police, appointing and dismissing the chief constable and setting the budget.
