It may be the start of the six-week holidays but we’re continuing to shine a light on the county’s wonderful schools.
This week it’s the turn of Wigley Primary School, situated on the outskirts of Chesterfield.
The small, friendly, rural school has 48 children who are split between an infant and junior class.
The children are taught to their own abilities and needs through a personalised, creative curriculum.
Every child has a laptop to aid their learning and they make the most of a superb outdoor space.
Headteacher Rachel Risorto said: “igley Primary has a real family atmosphere supported wholeheartedly by all our school community.
“Our mission statement – ‘nurturing ambition, inspiring success’ – captures our caring ethos for every child to achieve their very best throughout school and in the future,” she added.
