UPDATE: Police keen to trace two vehicles after gunshots fired in Chesterfield

Officers investigating an incident where gun shots were fired outside a home in Chesterfield are keen to trace the owners of two vehicles.

On Thursday, December 1 at 3am police were called to a house on Lucas Road to reports of gun shots being fired.

After an appeal that was released last week officers would now like to trace the driver of a white van that was seen on Lucas Road between 1am and 1.30am.

The van is thought to have writing on the side. A passenger got into the van and drove away in the direction of Sheffield Road.

Officers would also like to trace the driver of a dark coloured car that could be an estate that was seen on Lucas Road at around 3am.

Detective Inspector, Darren Pope, said: “I would like to thank the public so far for the information they have provided. Anyone with further information is asked to contact the investigation team on the number below.”

Anyone that was in the area between 12am and 4am and may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact Derbyshire police on 101 quoting incident number 90 of December 1.
