UPDATE: Appeal after gun shots allegedly fired at Chesterfield home

Police are appealing for information after gun shots were allegedly fired at a house in Chesterfield this morning.

Officers were called to a semi-detached property on Lucas Road, Newbold, just after 3am on Thursday (December 1) to reports of gun shots.

When officers arrived they became aware that a firearm had allegedly been shot at the property.

Detective Inspector, Darren Pope, who is overseeing the investigation, said: “I would like to reassure the local community that we are treating this as an isolated incident and urge anyone with information to contact us.”

Anyone that may have seen or heard anything suspicious at around 3am in the Lucas Road area of the town is asked to contact Derbyshire police quoting incident number 90 of December 1.
