DON’T judge a book by its cover - or in this case a dog - as this aesthetically challenged pooch is actually a loveable sharpei-cross named Bella.
The poor pup suffers from a serious skin condition that has damaged her hair follicles and made the chance of any hair growth unlikely.
She was brought into the Chesterfield RSPCA branch almost three months ago where her illness has been treated. In that time, she has given birth to a litter of healthy pups who have been rehomed, but Bella herself has been left on the shelf.
“She isn’t the most attractive dog but she would still make someone a fantastic pet” said branch manager, Richard Woodwards. “But the owner should beware that because she doesn’t have any hair, she will need to wear a jumper in the winter and sun cream in the summer.”
Anyone who can help rehome this curious canine should call the RSPCA, Chesterfield on 01246 273358
