Two men charges with arson after Staveley fire

Police have charges two men with arson and assault after an attack in Staveley.

At about 10pm on Sunday, November 20, a car parked next to garages on Devonshire Close, Staveley, was allegedly set fire to and the flames soon spread to the garages.

Officers said: "We have charged two men with arson after a block of garages were badly damaged by fire in Staveley.

Michael Davies, 36, of Blunt Avenue, Mastin Moor and Jon Wheatcroft, 25, of Edale Road, Mastin Moor have been charged with arson and assault.

The men are due to appear at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Thursday, March 30.
