Two charged with drugs offences in Brimington

A MAN and woman have been charged with drugs offences following a raid on their house in Brimington.

Officers from the Staveley Safer Neighbourhood Teams and Chesterfield Borough Council’s housing department visited the property on Grove Way, on Monday, June 13.

They found cannabis plants, growing equipment and a number of bags of dried cannabis.

Officers also seized cash from the house and a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were arrested.

The man has today (Friday, October 7) been charged with production of cannabis and the woman has been charged with allowing drugs to be produced on her premises.

They will both appear before magistrates in Chesterfield on Monday, October 24.
