Two fires in the same location may have been started deliberately.

The first call out to Dale Lane in Bolsover was at 12.39pm today - Wednesday, August 17 - where 80m of straw and hedges were on fire.

Bolsover fire crew attended put out the flames and left at 1pm.

At 2.10pm another call was made and the Bolsover team returned this time to 60m of straw alight.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue said: “The police have been informed as we believe these fires are connected and may have been started deliberately.”
