MORNING TV star Kate Garraway was in Selston on Friday for a special careers day for students.
The Creative Industries Day at Selston Arts and Community College was organised by Ashfield MP Gloria De Piero and saw hundreds of pupils visit the school to pick up tips on how to get the job of their dreams.
Ms Garraway was joined by former GMTV weather girl Claire Nasir, BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Chris Hawkins, screenwriter Billy Ivory, Mansfield Chad editor Tracy Powell and Ilkeston Advertiser editor Peter Hemmett.
A school spokesman said: “It was an absolutely great day and the students learned a lot.
“We were really pleased and impressed with how it went and we’d like to say a big thank you to our special guests who gave a lot of sound advice.”
