Turn unwanted goods into cash for school

The Parents’ Association of Lady Manners School, Bakewell, are appealing for donations of old (reusable or damaged) clothing, bedding (no duvets or pillows), curtains, soft toys, paired shoes, belts, handbags and books in black bin liners.

“Rags are Us” will recycle unwanted items for use in developing countries. Any material that is damaged is used as insulation for new homes. They weigh all donations and pay 40p per kilo.

All proceeds will directly benefit the school and pupils.

People are urged to drop any of the requested goods into the school on July 17, and leave them at the collection point signposted in the school grounds.

If you need a collection before July 17, email Jackie@650176.com, or call Jackie on (01629) 650176.
