TUPTON: Film Club hosts free movie night

Tupton Film Club had a free film night and opened its doors to non-members who enjoyed a showing of ‘Salmon Fishing in the Yemen’. Eighteen members attended the evening, along with eleven non-members. Six non-members signed up for membership for the coming year starting in September, which also gives them the opportunity to borrow films that have already been shown.

During the interval sweet and savoury refreshments were provided along with tea and coffee. A raffle was held; free raffle tickets being given to those who renewed or took out membership and prizes of wine, chocolates and toiletries were won.

The next meeting on May 1, at 7pm, will be the AGM and members will be shown clips of films, and will be asked to vote for films that they wish to be included in the programme for the coming year.
