There is slow traffic on the M1 around Chesterfield this morning.

Traffic

There is slow traffic on southbound carriageway at J29, A617 (Chesterfield).

One lane is closed and there is slow traffic on M1 northbound from J31, A57 (Sheffield) to J32, M18 (Thurcroft), because of an accident. Matrix sign set to 40 mph. Congestion to Woodall Services.

Trains

East Midlands trains are reported a normal service across the region.

Weather

An overcast day in Chesterfield, some early morning sunshine will disappear as grey clouds roll in before lunchtime. It should stay dry throughout the day and into the evening though, temperatures hovering at around 8 degrees during the day and dropping to around 5 degrees overnight.
