A SUPER student who hasn’t had a day off school in the past five years has been praised.
Sixteen-year-old Charlotte Heath, who has just finished her GCSE exams at Hasland Hall Community School, was handed a certificate to recognise the feat.
Charlotte’s mum, Lynn, of Broomfield Avenue, Hasland, said: “I’m very proud of her – it’s a fantastic achievement.
“Charlotte really enjoyed her time at school and she’s such a hard-worker.
“All our family went to Hasland Hall Community School and got various awards so it’s nice to know Charlotte is carrying on the success,” she added.
Headteacher Heather Boulton said: “It’s quite exceptional to have no absence in five years so we’re absolutely delighted for Charlotte and hope she inspires other pupils.”
Charlotte, who will find out her GCSE results later in the summer, hopes to go on to study childcare at Chesterfield College.
