Top firms were honoured at the Derbyshire Times’ Business Awards 2013 last night.

Editor Graeme Huston, Destination Chesterfield’s Peter Swallow and BBC Look North presenter Clare Frisby hosted the glittering event at the Proact Stadium.

One to One Support Services was crowned business of the year among many other worthy winners in a variety of 17 categories.

Graeme said: “It’s fantastic to have everyone from our proud business community come together to celebrate their achievements in 2013.

“All the many entries were worthy of praise and our judging panel deliberated long and hard to find this year’s winners and we wish them and everyone else the best of luck for 2014.”

Young business person of the year: Carly Fletcher

Business personality of the year: Andy Dukelow

Entrepreneur of the year: Nick Coward

Team of the year: United Cast Bar

Business idea of the year: Polar Trade Depot

Retailer of the year: Ashgate Hospice

Community contribution of the year: Franke Sissons

Employer of the year award: One to One Support Services

Lifetime achievement award: Jackie King-Owen

Customer service award: Calabria

Creative innovation award: Buxton Arts Festival

Disability inclusion award: One to One Support Services

Excellence in professional services: Banner Jones
