THE Chesterfield Arms is seeing double after claiming the title of Chesterfield’s CAMRA Pub of the Year for the second time in three years.

The Chesterfield Arms is the toast of the town’s hostelries after fellow CAMRA members voted the Newbold based pub, the best drinking establishment in the area.

With voting criteria based on quality of beer, customer service, it’s appeal to different age groups, atmosphere and enjoyment, the pub scored highly on all counts to claim the 2011 title, adding to its previous victory in 2009.

David Brown, Chesterfield Arms licensee, said: “We are very proud to have won CAMRA pub of the year for the second time.

“There is a lot of real ale pubs in the area and a lot of strong competition, so we are really chuffed to have been voted as the best of them.”

A presentation evening at which the pub will receive its CAMRA Pub of the Year certificate, will take place on Thursday, December 29.

As part of the night’s entertainment rock and blues band Tantrum/The Feud, who have just returned from a Los Angeles tour, will take to the stage at the pub.
