Charitable Claire Cadman took part in the Great North Run at the weekend – raising £500 for Chesterfield SANDS.
Claire, 40, of St Thomas Close, Tibshelf, took part in Sunday’s race in memory of her son, Luke, who was stillborn in 1997.
The money will go towards helping Chesterfield SANDS realise its dream of a baby memorial garden at Boythorpe Cemetery.
Claire, who completed the run in two hours, 33 minutes and 46 seconds, said: “It was a wonderful day despite the rain and wind.
“I was supported by family and fellow Chesterfield SANDS members.”
Chesterfield SANDS, which supports bereaved parents, holds a support group at Chesterfield fire station on the first Tuesday of every month between 7pm and 8pm.
