Textile students spread magic

Textile students spread a little magic at a folk festival.

The year ten and 11 students from Highfields School, Matlock, created a display with the theme of ‘magic’ at the Ashley Hay Folk Festival.

Using different techniques such as felting, embroidery and appliqué, the students, who have been working on their creations since Christmas at a weekly after school club, came up with a variety of creations for the display based on a Harry Potter dark and light side.
