A teenager who was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a two-car smash in Chesterfield at the weekend has been released without charge.
A Vauxhall Corsa and a Peugeot 406 collided on Saltergate at about 1.30am on Sunday.
Firefighters from Chesterfield and Staveley attended the crash and released the driver of the Peugeot, who was trapped in his vehicle.
The 58-year-old man was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital to be checked. He has now been discharged.
Police arrested an 18-year-old man, of Chesterfield, who has not been named, on suspicion of drink driving but he has now been released without charge. However, he has been reported for summons in connection with driving without due care and attention.
The road between Saltergate and St Margarets Drive was closed so debris could be removed.
