A teenager has been arrested in connection with a spate of deliberate fires in the Calow area.
The man (18) was held and released on police bail yesterday, Wednesday June 1, pending further inquiries.
Recent incidents have included newspaper been stuffed in the drain of St Peter’s Church, Top Road, and set alight causing damage to the drainpipe. A detached garage off Dark Lane, Calow was set alight a and a small amount of damage was caused to the wooden roof.
There have also been deliberate fires at garages on Church Lane and a deliberate bin fire on North Road.
