Parents are being advised that three classes in a Matlock school will be closed next week due to strike action.
All Saints Junior School, in Hurds Hollow, has announced it will be taking part in strike action on Wednesday.
Pupils in classes two, three and four are not to attend school. Those eligible for free school meals can attend at noon for a meal and then leave.
The school will be open for other classes.
A spokesman for the National Union of Teachers (NUT) said: “The strike is part of the campaign to protect pay, pensions and to ensure a workload that means children receive the best possible teaching.
“The strike follows a series of regional strikes in the autumn, which were very well supported and saw teachers getting a lot of support from parents.”
Any further school closures due to strike action will be reported on the Mercury website.
