Bakewell-based charity Helen’s Trust is teaming up with a top sports store this Saturday, February 19, to promote the forthcoming Chatsworth 10k & Fun Run.
Volunteers from the charity, which helps very ill people continue to be treated at home, will be in the Sheffield city centre store encouraging people to sign up as sponsored runners for the Helen’s Trust organised fundraising race.
Mike Senior, of Helen’s Trust, said: “We’re very grateful for Decathlon’s support in helping spread the word about our big annual fundraiser.
“The Duchess of Devonshire is a Helen’s Trust patron and provides the beautiful Chatsworth Estate for this very popular run on May 22.”
Nicky Edwards, Decathlon running manager, said: “We’re delighted to offer our help. By running in this race people will enjoy lovely scenery and keep fit and will be supporting a local charity.”
Decathlon will also be making a donation to Helen’s Trust for every Deefuz brand tee-shirt sold on Saturday, February 19.
Helen’s Trust manages the event and is celebrating its tenth year helping local people with incurable illness stay in their homes.
