DELIGHTED staff welcomed the Mayor of Chesterfield to the launch of a newly revamped and renovated BHS department store in the town.
The store, on Vicar Lane, has undergone a facelift worth thousands of pounds with bold signage and classy grey and red colours with similarly-coloured, smart staff uniforms to match.
BHS spokesman Sonia Kolomijez said: “We’re very excited. This has been a major investment into the Vicar Lane shopping centre and the town and it shows our confidence in the store’s future.”
Renovations at the store include a newly laid floor, a new ceiling and refurbished restaurant with top clothing lines in store including Miss Selfridges and Dorothy Perkins.
Chesterfield borough cllr and town mayor Peter Barr said: “This new look is helping to keep the town vibrant and attractive.
“People who come to Chesterfield town centre always say they enjoy it and this investment by BHS shows how this company recognises the importance of keeping the town fresh.”
