'Stolen' car ploughs into river in Nether Langwith

A car has been recovered from the river Poulter in Nether Langwith.

Images show the silver Volvo on on its side in the river next to Queen's Walk/

Neighbour Andrew Allison, who took the photographs of the car said he thought the vehicle had been stolen from North Street in Langwith and then driven around the village, hitting a parked car at the top of Fairfield Close before ploughing into the river on Queens Walk.

The vehicle has now been removed using a tow truck.

Nottinghamshire Police have been contacted for more information.
