HUNDREDS of Chesterfield FC supporters were queuing round the promotion favourite’s B2net Stadium as tickets went on sale for the team’s last home match of the season.
The Blues beat Macclesfield 2-1 at home on Saturday to put them seven points clear at the top of League Two and they now face two away matches before the season’s grand finale at the B2net against Gillingham, on Saturday, May 7.
Confident fans - who expect the season’s last home match to be a sell-out day of celebration - turned out today, Monday, April 18, to get tickets for what is likely to be an historic game for the club.
The Spireites play Oxford Utd, on Saturday, April 23, and Torquay United, on Friday, April 29, before the Gillingham game.
They need one point to guarantee promotion to League One but will also be hoping to clinch the League Two champions title.
