Carol Wilby has declined to comment on specualtion that she has parted company with Chesterfield FC.
Ms Wilby was appointed Spireites chief executive in Jaunary, 2010, but it is thought that she is no longer part of the team at the B2net Stadium.
The club has also declined to comment, but a spokesman said that a statement about the situation regarding Ms Wilby was being prepared.
Before Ms Wilby joined Chesterfield FC, she was circulation and marketing manager at the Derbyshire Times.

Last week, the Blues issued a statement outlining an action plan aimed moving the Spireites off the bottom of League One.
It said that the board intended to back manager John Sheridan financially in the January transfer window while a person of ‘further footballing expertise’ would be brought in at boardroom level.
