SOUTH NORMANTON: Gardeners Association pay silent tribute to Isabell Randle

South Normanton

South Normanton Gardeners Association’s meeting began with the announcement of the death of a long-standing member, Mrs Isabell Randle, and a minute’s silence was held.

The talk and presentation entitled “Vegetables for all seasons” was given by Mr Mike Davey and he gave a detailed account of how to grow and pick produce for the table all year round. His slides included shots of his own garden and allotment.

A good number of members braved the weather and a raffle concluded the evening.

The next meeting at the Postmill Centre is on Monday March 11, with the speaker, Mrs Lynne Thornley, giving a talk on propagation. All welcome.
