The stars of a classic ghost hunting television programme will be visiting a haunted Derbyshire castle in the hope of catching sight of one or more of its ghoulish residents.

Bolsover will welcome Karl Beattie and Stuart Torevell from the Most Haunted show to its creepy castle on March 4 from 9pm until 2am to help those brave enough to search for ghosts amongst the corridors, rooms and courtyards of the ancient building.

The team say they have been trying for years to hold an event at the castle and, after the ‘amazing success’ of the night the team held there in December, its owners now want them back.

A spokesman for the show said: “This location has too many ghost stories to mention.

“A lady has been seen many times in one of the second floor rooms, children are heard playing and running around tugging your clothes and voices and footsteps are heard throughout.

“One man was awoken in the middle of the night being dragged across the floor in his sleeping bag!”

Bolsover Castle was founded in the 12th century by the Peverel family and is now a Grade 1 listed building and scheduled ancient monument.

Tickets are priced at £85 per person - for more details visit www.mosthauntedexperience.com.
