Shopping fair aids counselling service

Source original, distinctive and affordable presents for all ages at a shopping fair.

The event, organised by The Friends of Derwent Rural Counselling Service, will be held at the Maynard Arms Hotel in Grindleford, on Wednesday, October 3 and Thursday, October 4.

Stallholders have agreed to donate 10 per cent of their takings to the charity, which is based at Newholme Hospital, Bakewell. There will also be a raffle on both days to help boost the charity funds.

The counselling service offers a professional and confidential service dealing with many issues including stress, bereavement, relationship problems and depression. So every article purchased at the Fair will help the DRCS.

To order your tickets for the shopping fair or to find out further information, call (01629) 583897.

Entry ticket costs £3.50 and you will be offered a coffee on arrival. You can also pay on the door.
