Providing a high level of personal service is something Chesterfield’s Mind Body and Soul prides itself upon.

The works and outdoor clothes store, on Sheffield Road, Whittingon Moor, has to trade in a competitive market with powerful national chains but its caring, considerate and individual concern helps to maintain and keep customers satisfied time and time again.

Director Paul Cater said: “We tend to be more specialised and help meet personal needs and we feel it’s important that any incoming money is invested back into the region’s economy. We provide a high level of personal service where sometimes larger providers fall down.”

The business first started on Chesterfield market in 2010 before moving to its new store in 2011 and deals with large and small scale requests for a variety of work clothes and footwear, outdoor pursuits and sportswear.

It offers in-house vinyl printing and embroidery services for that personalised touch and its devotion to supporting the community was recently reflected after it donated training tops to Dunston Rovers football club.

Mind Body and Soul has also teamed up with other traders at Whittington Moor to set up a Twitter campaign - #moortooffer - designed to raise awareness of the variety of local businesses that are available.

It also works with the town’s marketing group Destination Chesterfield to boost the town.
