A party of ten visually impaired ramblers, their guides and drivers were among a group of 30 who stepped out on a walk.

The ramblers enjoyed sherry and mince pies before setting off on the walk led by Gwenda Rudkin on behalf of Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire Ramblers Association.

The walk set off from at the Elm Tree public house car park, Scarcliffe, on a sunny day. Walkers had a short stroll around Scarcliffe Woods where it was quite muddy underfoot.

After the walk, the party were welcomed back to the Elm Tree by their hosts David and Pauline and later enjoyed a home-cooked lunch.
