Royal Naval Reservists take part in festival

Derek and Tristan joined specially selected servicemen and women from around the country at the event, as well as military bands and a drumhead service. Two shows were performed, with the second being attended by members of the royal family.

Derek said: “It was an honour to have been selected to represent the RNR at the event. I felt a great sense of pride when I took my place within the muster of service personnel at the Royal Albert Hall in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen. During my RNR career I have been a part of many royal events, but participating in the festival is something I have always wanted to take part in.”
