Rotarians have presented a pennant displaying Chesterfield borough’s coat of arms to a French law student who is studying in this country.
The memento was handed over by Scarsdale Rotary Club president Brian Harrison to Romain Subirats, who is studying at Nottingham University on a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship scheme.
Romain talked to the Chesterfield club about his education and current studies. He was escorted by Rtn Martyn Bye of The Rotary Club of Carlton and introduced by past president Keith Pollard.
At any one time there are up to 200 university students studying in the UK on the Rotary ambassadorial scholarship. They are funded by Rotarians in the overseas districts where they live.
