ROTARIANS from Warsop and Shirebrook raised a glass or two to their club at its 42nd charter celebration.

The event at the Hostess Restaurant, Sookholme was attended by 100 members and guests from across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

John Welsh, Senior Vice-President of Warsop and Shirebrook Rotary Club, gave a speech and toast to Rotary International’s District Governor, Gordon McGlone. Gordon responded with a speech and toast to the club and in return, president Andre Camilleri gave a humorous speech.

A toast was made to the memory of Stuart Yates, who was a key member of the club, particularly for the Shirebrook area.

Entertainment was provided by comedian Mike Farrell whose humour had the audience in fits of laughter.
