Songs, music and poetry featured in an annual carol concert, organised by a town’s Rotarians.

The event was held at Wood Street Chapel, Ripley, and included songs and carols from the children’s choir of St John’s Infant School, the Brian Scotts Sound playing and singing Christmas items, the winner of Amber Valley’s Got Talent Dan Ball playing and singing various songs.

Rtn Marie Jackson read a Christmas poem and Tony Wright playing the organ for community carols.

Refreshments were served in the interval by church members in aid of the church funds and a raffle raised £90 for local charities.

Ripley Rotary Club, which organised the concert, has expressed thanks to the host church and performers who helped to make the night such a success.
